HISTORY - CASTELNAU Edouard (1851 - 1944) -Autograph card signed

In August 1914 he fought the battle of Morhange and saved Nancy by his resistance at Grand-Couronné. In 1915, he led the Battle of Champagne. As Joffre's deputy, he took measures at Verdun to conserve the right bank of the Meuse and took part in the great victory offensive in 1918.
