Lot 189 · The Langer Collection · 29 April 2024
He took part in the wars of the Empire and was interim Governor General of Algeria. He was awarded the Légion d'honneur at the age of 19. A deputy for the Nord region, he was killed during the uprising of June 1848.
Document signed "Négrier" as colonel of the 54th regt. line infantry, Tours, September 3, 1830, 1/2 p. in folio. Beautiful piece. He certifies that Second Lieutenant Revy of the 8th Cuirassier Regiment "did the 1815 campaign at Waterloo as a sergeant in the 2nd light infantry regiment where I myself served as battalion commander at that time...".
