HISTORY - BEAUHARNAIS Alexandre (1760 - 1794) - Autograph letter signed

Son of a governor of Martinique, deputy to the Estates General of 1789, General-in-Chief of the Army of the Rhine in 1793, he failed to rescue Mainz and was guillotined. In 1779, he married Josephine Tascher de la Pagerie, the future Empress of France.
