On 14 July 1791, he presided over the "Rolle banquet" to celebrate the storming of the Bastille, proscribed by the Bernese. He fled to France and was employed in the army of the Alps, then at the siege of Toulon. Appointed general by Napoleon in 1793, he became division general in 1795 during the Italian campaign. He was killed at the Battle of Codogno by an Austrian stray bullet on 10 May 1796.
Document signed "Laharpe", with a few autograph words, handwritten signed. also by the members of the administrative council of the 199th half infantry brigade: Finale, 23 Ventose, Year IV (March 13, 1796), 1 p. oblong in-4°, frame and text partly printed. red wax seal, consolidated folds. Rare. Certificate that second lieutenant Ambroise Goy has served with honor, civic-mindedness and probity since 4 September 1791.
