Enrolled in the first regiment of hussars at the age of 16. His mother called him back to his architectural studies and he had to leave the army. In 1776, he entered the Munich Military Academy. In 1785, he deserted. In 1789, he joined the national guard, but refused to abide by the regulations and left the army. In 1792, he joined the army for the 4th time. He distinguished himself in the Vendée War. At Napoleon's request, he went to war in Egypt, Syria and Turkey and was killed in action.
Document also signed by General Gaspard (1758-1807) and by the members of the board of directors of the 25th infantry regiment; Ollioules, 11 Floréal Year VI (April 30, 1798), 3/4 p. large folio, beautiful revolutionary stamp. Red wax. Beautiful rare piece.
