HISTORY - SERVAN DE GERBEY Joseph (1741 - 1808) - Autograph letter signed

Volunteer in the Guyenne regiment in 1760, Marshal of Camp in 1792, he became Minister of War. Arrested under the Terror, he was released in 1795 and reintegrated into the army. He wrote Le soldat Citoyen.
Autograph letter signed dated Lyon, 31.08.1791: "…je suis on ne peut pas plus sensible aux soins que vous avez bien voulu prendre …".
