An enthusiastic supporter of the Revolution, he was appointed commander of the national guards in Martinique in 1790. He was a deputy to the Convention in 1792. Brigadier general, he set out for Italy and Toulon. At the head of the armies of Pyrénées-Orientales, he was killed fighting the Spanish.
Document signed and dated 19 Vendemiaire 3ème année (10.10.1794). General Dugomnier took charge of the mortuary status, drawn up by the member of the board of directors of the 147a 1/2 brigade, 6 companies of the document, of citizen François Bigou, originally from Maqueur (Landes), who died on the camp of The battle against the enemies of the Republic at Figuere in its affair arrived on June 7, 1794.
