HISTORY - FAYOLLE Emile (1858 - 1928) - Photograph signed

In 1914, he distinguished himself at the Grand Couronné and took part in the Battle of the Somme at the head of the VIth Army. He commanded the French expeditionary corps in Italy in 1917, then the following year the reserve army group in France. He contributed to the victory at the Marne and was made Marshal of France.
