HISTORY - CANROBERT François Certain (1809 - 1895) - Letter signed

General and aide-de-camp to the Prince-President in 1850, he played an active role in the coup d'état of 2 December 1851. He commanded the French expeditionary corps in the Crimea in 1855 and distinguished himself at Saint-Privat in 1870.
Letter with autograph lines and signature, dated 09.02.1853: "… Je garde bien souvenir de nos aimables relations d’autrefois…”.
