HISTORY - MAISON Nicolas-Joseph (1771 - 1840) - Autograph letter signed

In 1789, he joined the Epinay National Guard. In 1805, he joined the 1st corps of the Grande Armée and took part in the battle of Austerlitz. General during the Revolution and Empire, he was made Marshal of France during the Restoration. Under the July Monarchy, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs, then Minister of War.
