Document Signed “Bessières” with approx. 30 autograph words as second in command of the Guard of Consuls, Paris, 29 Germinal (An IX April 19, 1801), I p. in folio, damp stamp of the 3rd regt. of dragons. Piece slightly trimmed at the head and pasted on old vellum for its conservation, traces of folds. rare, especially with an autograph part. “Etat de service” of citizen François Lebrun. Bessières attests that when he presented himself for service in the Guard (of the Consuls) the interested party had documents attesting that he had been in all the campaigns.
