Description
Luisa Tetrazzini (Florence, 1871 – Milan, 1940)Autographletter signed on Illustrated postcard , dated April 13, 1903, by the Italian colatura soprano, to Maestro Antonio Amici. The postcard was sent from Moscow and she informs: "Siamo arrivati ieri sera felicemente. (…) ill viaggio é stato buonissimo e l’arrivo qui é dei più buoni (…) Mercoledì canto “Romeo e Giulietta” al Teatro Imperiale, ti scriverò l’esito. Di voce sto splendidamente, dunque avanti coraggio e sempre speranza”. Before returning to Florence, the singer will stop in Bucharest. “Romeo and Juliet" by Charles Gounod was first performed in 1867, a new version premiered in 1888). Total of 25 lines written on the card depicting the singer in her Juliet costume with autograph address on verso.
