(Madariaga – College of Europe Foundation) Salvador de Madariaga (La Coruña 1886 - Locarno 1978)Interesting autograph manuscript of one of the fathers of EEC, not dated, by a diplomat, historian, and writer, author of some significant historiographical works, such as "Teoria dell'Impero Spagnolo d'America" (1955), "Cristoforo Colombo" (1940), "Hernán Cortes" (1941), "Simon Bolivar" (1952). It is an essay about Germany's position during the Cold War. "Both history and geography designate Germany as the key nation of our day. For the communist world she is a nation recently emerged from an era of totalitarism...". Total of 100 pages (plus 3 pp. of notes in the final part), in a spiral notebook (20.5x16 cm), in blue ink (red for the final notes), dense with cancellations and remarks, in English. Including a part of a stamped envelope with the autograph address "A Peter Weiner".
