Henri Vieuxtemps (Viervers, 1820 - Mustapha Supérieur, 1881)Autograph letter signed, dated April 9, 1847, by the acclaimed Belgian violinist and composer. He was a court musician for Tsar Nicholas I and founder of the violin school at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Vieuxtemps is also known for having given his name to the violin Guarneri del Gesù: Vieuxtemps Guarneri, on which the musician performed his own compositions. Addressed to the publishers Tisseron & de Quincy in Paris.
